Personal Settings
Your profile, display preferences, and theme.
Open Settings from the navigation dock. The first tabs apply to your own account: General, Preferences, Security, Appearance, and Share, plus Import and Export if your role allows them. Tabs below those configure the whole instance and only appear for users with the matching permissions.

General
Settings → General shows your display name and your role (Owner for the instance owner). Change your details here:
- Username: 3 to 20 characters. Letters, numbers, periods, underscores, and hyphens only. Usernames must be unique.
- Display Name: at least 3 characters.
Click Save to apply the changes. Log out ends your session in this browser.
Preferences
Settings → Preferences controls how AirTrail shows units, dates, and times. Changes save as soon as you pick a value, and a preview below each section shows the result. Preferences are stored on your account, so they follow you across devices.
Units

Wind speed, temperature, and pressure are used for airport weather.

Auto follows your system settings.
Flight times controls which timezone departure and arrival times are shown in:
- Airport local time: each time in its airport's timezone.
- UTC: all times in UTC.
- My system timezone: all times converted to your device's timezone.
Presets
Click Apply preset to set all preferences at once. You can still change individual settings afterwards.

All presets set Flight times to Airport local time.
Appearance
Settings → Appearance sets the Color Theme:
- System follows your operating system's light or dark mode. This is the default.
- Light
- Dark
The theme is saved in your browser, not on your account. Set it separately on each device.
Users who can configure instance map styles also see Basemap Provider on this tab. That setting applies to everyone on the instance. See Basemaps.
